General Visitation Guidelines
- COVID-19 positive individuals may not visit.
- By entering, visitors acknowledge they have not recently been exposed to a COVID-19 positive individual and are not experiencing any of the following symptoms:
o Fever or chills
o Cough
o Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
o Muscle or body aches
o New loss of taste or smell
- Visitors and patients are asked to wear masks when community transmission levels are high, including inside patient rooms. Please ensure your mask fully covers your nose and mouth. Daily mask requirements are posted at visitor entrances.
- Visitors are asked to practice social distancing while in the hospital.
COVID-19 Positive or Suspected Positive Patient Visitation
- One visitor at a time during posted visitation hours (8am to 9pm); up to two different people per day.
- Visitors must meet the below criteria:
- Pass COVID-19 self-screening criteria
- Wear hospital-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Always stay in patient’s room.
- Limit personal items to 1 bag and cellphone.
- Follow all hospital staff instructions.
- There are risks associated with visiting a COVID-positive patient, especially for unvaccinated or immunosuppressed individuals, despite taking all precautions.
- If the patient’s attending physician determines that it is unsafe for a patient to have visitors, we will continue to provide and support the use of virtual tools for visitation and daily patient updates for families.
Thank you for your steadfast commitment to our patients, to each other, and to our community.
Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.
