Muenster Memorial Hospital’s emergency room is a Level IV Trauma Facility, certified by the State of Texas to handle basic trauma.

We staff a physician for our emergency department 24/7.  Our physicians are provided through Flint Medical Staffing, an ER physician staffing company out of Lubbock, Texas, or by private contract.  All have Advanced Trauma Life Support training.

• Our emergency nurses are ALL TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Curriculum) trauma certified, with Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support training.  
• We have agreements in place with area medical transport services, ground and air, so that patients can be transferred to specialty care as needed.  Agreements are also in place for quick access to anti-venom.  A supply of blood products is in stock and additional units can be accessed quickly.  The hospital provides full lab and radiology support.

The goal of the emergency team is to stabilize emergent patients as quickly and completely as possible, before transferring them to needed specialty care.
